NO MAN'S LAND
A time of great celebration for Breckenridge with concerts, State Gold Panning Championships and demonstrations, The Village at Breckenridge concerts, International Woodcarving Championships and much more.Mapmakers, lore has it, inadvertently left a big chunk of real estate off maps of Colorado, and Breckenridge was missing from charted records. However, the omission was discovered by the Breckenridge Women's Club, and the wrong was righted in 1936 by Gov. Edwin C. Johnson and an entourage of military brass as well as a live remote radio broadcast heard 'round the world.
