    Do you ever allow Pets?

Sorry, pets are not permitted under any circumstances.

Some people in or party don't ski. Are there things for them to do while we are on the slopes?

You bet! Go to our Activities page for a large selection of things to pass the time.

Is there a place to rent snowmobiles?

Everyone we know who has taken a snowmobile tour (including us) has raved about the experience. Guided trips usually take you on beautiful trails through heavy pine forests, past old mining ruins, across high mountain meadows and to overviews of majestic mountain valleys from the top of the continental divide. There are several outfitters in town. All are good but our favorite is Tiger Run Tours (www.tigerruntours.com/)Go to our Activities page.

Where can we rent ski/snowboard equipment?

Of course, you can rent at the ski areas but plan on long, frustrating lines. You came to ski … not stand in line. The downtown rental shops are small, friendly and helpful as well as less expensive. Many offer nice internet discounts. Our favorites are Rec Sports (www.recsports.com/) and Main Street Sports (www.mainstreetsports.com/).

Is there a way to get discounts on lift tickets?

Ski areas offer multi-day tickets at a discount and the downtown rental shops can usually save you a couple of bucks. However, the real discounts are those geared toward local front-range skiers. On your way through Denver or Colorado Springs, stop at a King Sooper, Safeway or Albertson's food store and get $6 or $8 off every ticket you buy.If you plan on sking more than one week you might want to look into the buddy pass $299.00 for a season pass. The passes will be on sale from April to May, at Colorado Ski & Golf and Boulder Ski Deals stores (both owned by Vail Resorts). Existing buddy pass holders can renew for next season online, and may renew their passes individually.

As a side benefit, the passes can be used at all three resorts through the end of this season.

Are there any ski area shuttle stops near your home?

Sorry no shuttles are available but,its only a 5 minute drive to free ski parking at the base and, if you get an early start, you can get a slopeside spot at peak 8 or peak 9 lots for $10. You need to get there by 8:30 or 9.

Do we need a 4-wheel drive to get to your home?

Definitely not! We are the first house on Crown drive off of Hwy 9.The roads are plowed early and we have a private service to clear the driveway. Occasionally, the driveway can be challenging with a heavy overnight snow or if your cars block the private service.

    Where can we cross-country ski?

Breckenridge and most of the ski areas have Nordic centers with groomed trails. About 2 miles beyond the house is the Boreas Pass trail. It is ungroomed but free. An old railroad bed with a gentle 4% grade, it offers spectacular views. You will encounter plenty of hikers and snowshoers as well.

What do we need to bring along?

Our home is completely furnished and has all dishes, kitchen utensils, spices, linens, towels and even humidifiers for each room. Make sure you bring a swim suit and your favorite CDs we have a large number video tapes.Just like being at home.
